SOCIAL SKILL OF THE TERM – CONFIDENCE Confidence is thinking I can do it when you are having difficulty with your work.
Things to say to encourage Confident Behaviour:
• “That took confidence.”
• “That wasn’t easy to do, but you did it.”
• “You had a confident voice when you spoke in front of others.”
• “You really stood up for what you believed!”
• “You were not afraid to make a mistake. Good for you.”
• “You have a positive attitude towards your work.”
• “You did not get too upset with yourself for not achieving a good result.”
VALUE OF THE WEEK – COURAGE
Courage helps you to do the right thing. Admit mistakes and learn from them. Stand up for what you know is right even if your friends are doing something wrong. Ask for help when you need it.
